Founded in 2021, Bat Around Baseball is focused on helping young players build strong fundamentals, develop confidence, and grow their love for the game.

We offer camps, private lessons, and small group training in a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment. Our instruction emphasizes quality reps, proper technique, and consistent development that translates to game performance.

Whether just starting out or looking to improve, our goal is to create a positive experience where players can learn, grow, and enjoy baseball.

Coach Stephen

Meet Our Coaches

Coach Stephen

Stephen Seefeldt, founder of Bat Around Baseball, is a San Diego native who grew up in the San Carlos area. He attended Gage Elementary, Pershing Middle School, and Patrick Henry High School, and is a proud Mission Trails Little League alum, where he played from Tee Ball through Senior Majors before continuing on to travel and high school baseball.

Stephen has been involved in baseball for over 35 years and has spent more than 14 years coaching at the youth level. At Mission Trails Little League, he has coached every division from Tee Ball to Majors, including All-Stars, and served on the Board of Directors for 10 years, including 5 years as President.

He currently serves as the Safety Officer for District 33 and has been recognized by Little League International with both the Jim Jones Award and a District Leadership Award. In addition, Stephen leads coaching development sessions, teaching fundamentals and practice structure to coaches across multiple leagues.

Stephen’s passion is helping young athletes grow through the game. He focuses on building confidence through strong fundamentals, while embracing a “double-goal” coaching philosophy; developing both competitive players and the life skills that come from teamwork, effort, and perseverance.

He founded Bat Around Baseball in 2021 to create a positive, fundamentals-driven environment for young players. As a longtime member of the San Carlos baseball community, Stephen takes pride in giving back and helping the next generation of players succeed.

Coach Robert

Coach Robert brings over 30 years of playing experience and a strong connection to the local baseball community to Bat Around Baseball. He grew up playing Little League through high school in the area and has developed a well-rounded understanding of the game, with experience at first base, third base, catcher, and outfield.

He has been coaching with Bat Around Baseball since 2023 and is actively involved in the local baseball community. He currently coaches his son’s team at Fletcher Hills Little League, where he focuses on creating a fun, competitive environment for players to learn and grow. His coaching style blends fundamental instruction for younger athletes with more technical development for advanced players, often turning drills into games to keep players engaged.

A San Diego Padres fan, he is passionate about watching players develop over time. Not only as athletes, but as teammates building confidence and lasting relationships. He takes pride in creating a positive experience where players can enjoy the game while continuing to improve.

Coach Cailyn

Cailyn brings energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping young athletes grow to Bat Around Baseball. With 8 years of playing experience at Mission Trails Little League and coaching since 2021, she focuses on creating a fun, supportive, and engaging environment for every player.

Cailyn takes a collaborative approach to coaching, making sure players feel comfortable while learning new skills and building confidence. She enjoys working on throwing mechanics and helping players understand the fundamentals in a way that’s both effective and fun.

A fan of the San Diego Padres and Fernando Tatis Jr., Cailyn also plays volleyball and flag football. She plans to study kinesiology with the goal of becoming an athletic trainer, continuing her passion for sports and helping athletes perform at their best.

Coach Max

Max brings both playing experience and a lifelong connection to the local baseball community to Bat Around Baseball. A Mission Trails Little League alum, Max has been playing baseball for over 11 years, including two years at Patrick Henry High School.

Max has been coached by Stephen Seefeldt since the age of four, giving him a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the game and a deep understanding of the Bat Around Baseball approach. He now brings that same knowledge and energy into his coaching.

With five years of coaching experience, Max takes a positive, upbeat approach focusing on teaching strong fundamentals while making sure players are having fun and enjoying the game. He especially enjoys working on fielding, helping players build confidence and consistency in the field.

Max is a San Francisco Giants fan and enjoys playing golf, currently competing for Patrick Henry. He is passionate about sharing his love for baseball and creating a fun, encouraging environment for young players to learn and grow.

Coach Adeline

Adeline brings a strong background in softball and a passion for working with young athletes to Bat Around Baseball. With 10 years of playing experience, she currently plays at the high school level as a shortstop and third baseman.

Adeline has been coaching since 2024 and brings a fun, energetic approach while maintaining structure and focus during sessions. She is passionate about creating a positive environment where players can learn, improve, and enjoy the game. She especially enjoys working on infield drills, where she can share her experience and help players build confidence and consistency, as well as hitting drills that keep players engaged and active.

A San Diego Padres fan, Adeline enjoys being around sports and has also participated in volleyball and flag football. She takes pride in being supportive and approachable, making sure every player feels comfortable, has fun, and continues to grow both on and off the field.

Coach Joseph

Joseph brings a strong baseball background and deep roots in the local baseball community to Bat Around Baseball. With over 10 years of playing experience, including his time at Mission Trails Little League and at the high school level, he has developed as a pitcher and first baseman. He is also a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, track and field, and golf.

Coaching since 2021, Joseph focuses on creating an environment that is both structured and fun, helping players build strong fundamentals while developing a positive work ethic. He encourages athletes to ask questions and understand the purpose behind each drill, building confidence and a deeper understanding of the game.

He especially enjoys coaching accurate throws and picks. Skills that are essential across all positions on the field. Joseph is a San Diego Padres fan and is passionate about giving back to the community that helped him grow, while helping the next generation of players develop and succeed.
